Design of the Month - French Puppy

With all the icing, it makes this cupcake look quite big. It’s a lovely little cake to give to someone that likes so much sweetness.

You will need:

Sweets for the eyes and nose                   Edible whiskers (optional)
Marshmallow rolled for tongue
Marshmallow halved for the snout
Sweet for the ears like Haribo stripes
Dr. Oetker writing icing in black and white
Chocolate butter icing
White butter icing

 
Method:

1. Have your cupcake(s) ready and fully cooled before icing.
2. Cut a marshmallow in half and position with a little icing where the nose goes.
3. Cut the Haribo stripes to form the ears (see template on page xxx).
4. Spread the white butter icing over the cupcake leaving the ears clear, cover the marshmallow carefully.
5. Pipe chocolate butter icing to cover the ears in short upward movements to create that cute puppy ears.
6. Place the nose, eyes, whiskers and tongue into position.
7. Pipe definition to the eyes on each corner with the black writing icing for extra definition.
8. Pipe a dot onto each eye with the white writing icing.
